ANTANANARIVO – The American Chamber of Commerce in Madagascar (AmCham) and the U.S. Embassy are partnering to empower the women business leaders of Madagascar.
As part of the U.S. government-sponsored POWER initiative (Providing Opportunities for Women’s Economic Rise), AmCham and the Embassy hosted the first of three intensive trainings for Malagasy business leaders in Antananarivo, April 11-13. The training brought together more than 70 women business leaders from Madagascar’s agribusiness sector in the Analamanga region.

On March 23rd, AmCham hosted its first traditional Thursday Morning Roundtable of the year at Radisson Blu Hotel, Antananarivo Waterfront. Mrs. Anne Williams - the Mission Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Madagascar – honored the occasion as the guest speaker, alongside AmCham’s members and friends. She delivered a private sector-oriented perspective of what the USAID could bring to the business community in Madagascar.
